Join a Town established a new partnership with the Global Shapers Cali Hub and DINOS Foundation to promote the Sustainable Development Goals in the vulnerable community of Siloé (Cali, Colombia). Together, we will create a program of urban agriculture in this community.
Juan Felipe Mesa, CEO of Join a Town, went to Cali to meet with Ginna Rodriguez and Cesar Duque, Programs director and President of DINOS Foundation. They met the community and started working to build the program that will begin with training in urban agriculture, followed by the creation of a community garden, then the deployment of the home gardens, the creation of a local market and it ends with coaching in entrepreneurship to promote the creation of local small businesses that will generate additional income to the families.
These three organization will start to work together on a weekly basis to prepare the launch of the project in early 2018.
